About
Marissa Conniff is a lifelong singer and passionate voice teacher based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, who has been performing since age seven. She studied theatre at Eastern Michigan University and was selected for the prestigious Motown Museum's Amplify the Sound of Detroit program, where she received professional training in voice, performance, and artist development. Marissa works with singers of all genres, abilities, and ages, focusing on vocal enhancement including range, tone, breath control, articulation, and projection. Her teaching philosophy centers on curiosity, trust, and intuition with an engaging, fun approach. She offers audition preparation coaching and emphasizes vocal health and longevity for regular performers, also providing instruction in music theory and appreciation. Marissa is an active performer in Southeast Michigan with her band, Marissa & the Starter Packs, playing at venues and music festivals throughout the region. She continues to take voice lessons herself, valuing continuous growth and learning, having worked with multiple voice teachers, music directors, and choir directors throughout her career. Marissa offers both in-person lessons at Oz's Music in Ann Arbor and online instruction.
Education & Qualifications
