Marika Kyriakos
About
Dr. Marika Kyriakos is a lyric coloratura soprano and full Professor of Voice at Arkansas State University. She joined the music faculty in 2008 as Coordinator of Voice and Director of the A-State Opera Theatre, and later became Chair of the Music Department. With a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Music from the University of Missouri, Dr. Kyriakos has extensive international experience. She taught voice and performed at the OperaMaya summer festival in the Mayan Riviera of Mexico for three seasons and has presented scholarship on composers including Lili Boulanger at major conferences. She frequently collaborates on contemporary music projects and maintains a vibrant solo performance career.
