Margot Porter
About
Margot Porter is a soprano and Instructor of Voice at the University of Nebraska Omaha. She has been heard in opera, oratorio, opera scenes, and recitals throughout the United States and internationally. Her operatic roles include Violetta in La traviata, Madame Lidoine in Dialogues of the Carmelites, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Lady Billows in Albert Herring, and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni. She has performed with prestigious opera companies including International Lyric Academy in Vicenza Italy, Opera Steamboat in Colorado, SOO Opera in Michigan, and Antigua y Moderna in New Mexico. Porter made her Opera Omaha debut in 2024 as a chorus member in La traviata. As an educator, she is committed to helping students develop healthy vocal technique and artistic expression.

Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance from University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2025), Master of Music in Voice Performance from University of New Mexico (2021), Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Winona State University (2015)
