Lytingale (Lois Henrickson) is a versatile singer, voice teacher, songwriter, composer, and arranger based in Asheville, North Carolina. With a Bachelor of Science in Music Education (Voice) from the University of Connecticut, she brings comprehensive vocal training and diverse musical experience to her students. Lytingale is known for her powerful soprano voice and has performed across multiple genres including rock, folk, opera, blues, jazz, and musical comedy. She is the accompanist, composer, and arranger for Womansong, a 75-voice women's chorus in Asheville, where she has been a member since 2002. She previously taught voice and served as Music Director and leader of The Unitic Band at Unity Center (1983-2015). As a prolific songwriter with over 400 compositions, she brings creative artistry to her teaching. She offers private voice lessons, vocal coaching, and workshop facilitation, working with students in all styles of music. Her approach emphasizes developing authentic vocal expression, healthy technique, and joy in singing.
