Lynnette Chambers
About
Dr. Lynnette Chambers serves as Professor of Voice in the College of Arts and Media at Hardin-Simmons University. A mezzo-soprano from Houston, Texas, Dr. Chambers has been teaching as a voice professor at HSU for 22 years. She holds a D.M.A and M.M. degree from The Ohio State University and a B.M.E. degree from Baylor University. Dr. Chambers has performed with organizations including the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Arkansas Symphony, Valley Symphony Orchestra, Abilene Opera, Abilene Philharmonic, Lake George Opera, Muddy River Opera, and Des Moines Metro Opera. During her tenure at HSU, she and two other vocal instructors tripled the amount of voice students attending the university and taught students the skills to work professionally throughout the country. She is known for creating memorable thematic recitals with her students.
