Lori Guilbeau Nolan is a dramatic soprano and co-founder of Gainesville Voice Studio (now the vocal department at LyriCo Conservatory). She won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Grand Finals in 2010, earning her Met debut as the High Priestess in Aida. She has performed multiple roles at the Metropolitan Opera, including the Heavenly Voice in Don Carlo and parts in Nabucco and Götterdämmerung. Her European career included three seasons at Theater Kiel in Germany, where she sang leading roles in Die Walküre, Un ballo in maschera, Les Huguenots, and Arabella. Following her Carnegie Hall debut with the American Symphony Orchestra, Opera News praised her as a 'resplendent soprano' with 'a soaring, rhapsodic sound,' while The New York Times lauded her 'beautiful tone and a graceful sense of phrasing.' She holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music. Mrs. Guilbeau Nolan has taught at the IVAI program in Israel and the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, and conducts masterclasses at universities nationwide through the Metropolitan Opera Rising Star series.
