Liz Johnson
About
Liz Johnson is a professional vocal coach and recognized vocologist based in Nashville, Tennessee. She holds a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from Belmont University, a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Mental Health Work from the University of Illinois, and a Certificate in Vocology through the University of Utah and the National Center for Voice and Speech. She earned the Recognized Vocologist (PAVA-RV) designation from the Pan American Vocology Association in 2023. As a faculty member at Vanderbilt University, she served as the Jazz Voice Instructor at the Blair School of Music. She has also taught at Belmont and Trevecca Nazarene Universities. She has been teaching at Nashville Jazz Workshop for over 20 years, helping develop certificate programs and jazz intensive workshops for singers. Liz is a Breathwork Trainer through the Oxygen Advantage Program. She joined the Executive Board of the National Center for Voice and Speech in 2024.
