Lisabeth Miller
About
Dr. Lisabeth Miller is a lyric soprano and voice faculty member at The Hartt School, University of Hartford, with over fifteen years of teaching experience in the greater Hartford, CT area. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Connecticut as a student of vocal pedagogy authority Dr. Constance Rock, along with a master of music degree in voice performance from The Hartt School and a B.A. in music from Brandeis University. She is currently completing a Certificate in Vocology from New York University (2025). Her pedagogical philosophy emphasizes creating an environment where all singers can thrive through gratitude, respect, and acceptance, prioritizing vocal health while incorporating current voice science research. Miller serves as the Coordinator of the Classical Voice Concentration (beginning 2026), teaches applied voice instruction, courses in lyric diction and vocal literature, and directs chamber choir at New England Music Camp in Maine. She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and Pan American Vocology Association.
