About
Lisa Rochelle is a voice teacher and Vocal Health Coach (Singing Voice Specialist - SVS) based on Manhattan's Upper West Side at 170 West 74th St., with over 30 years of pedagogical and performing experience. She holds a degree in Vocal Pedagogy and Musical Theatre Performance and has specialized training in vocology (vocal pedagogy and habilitation), working in conjunction with medical professionals in the re-training of injured voices. Lisa is certified in all 3 levels of Somatic Voicework™/LoVetri Method for CCM Pedagogy and has completed the full core curriculum of NYSTA's Professional Development Program, where she served on the Board of Directors as Co-Director of the Professional Development Program from 2006-2011. She has completed hundreds of specialty/vocology coursework hours and internships at Mt. Sinai/NYC, Anat Keidar, and Westminster Choir College. Her teaching draws from extensive training in Alexander Technique, Lessac Voicework, and ongoing work with leading New York voice specialists including Shirley Tennyson, Joan Lader, and David Jones. Lisa has held faculty positions at Marymount Manhattan College (2003-2016), NTI National Theatre Institute at Eugene O'Neill Center (1999-2006), and The Institute for the Alexander Technique. She serves as vocal consultant for La Guardia High School of the Performing Arts musicals and maintains memberships in NATS, The Voice Foundation, Actors' Equity Association, and SAG-AFTRA.
