About
Soprano Lisa Lockhart is an accomplished classical and operatic vocalist with extensive performance experience across the United States and Europe. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory of Music, where she received comprehensive training in vocal pedagogy, and a Master of Music in Music Education from Columbia University Teachers College in New York City. Lisa has performed major soprano roles with numerous prestigious opera companies including First Coast Opera, Opera Amore, Bold City Opera, and others. Her impressive repertoire includes leading roles such as Aida, Madama Butterfly, and Savitri, as well as supporting roles in works like La Bohรจme, Le Nozze di Figaro, Porgy and Bess, and Die Fledermaus. In addition to her operatic career, Lisa serves as an adjunct vocal professor at Florida State College at Jacksonville since 2021 and maintains a thriving private vocal studio in St. Augustine. She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and regularly performs with local ensembles including the St. Augustine Chamber Singers and St. Augustine Community Chorus. Lisa brings deep musical knowledge, responsive teaching methods, and a commitment to tailoring instruction to each student's individual needs and artistic goals.
