Lisa Dodson is an accomplished soprano and vocalist who has performed opera, oratorio, and art song across the greater Washington D.C. and Maryland regions. She holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College, where she studied with distinguished voice faculty. Additionally, she received specialized training at the prestigious Academie Internationale d'ete de Nice under renowned accompanist Dalton Baldwin. As a sought-after soloist, Dodson has performed with numerous regional opera companies including Opera Vivente, Maryland Lyric Opera, OperaDelaware, Maryland Concert Opera, and Mozart and Friends Opera Company. She has been featured with prestigious vocal ensembles including the Westminster Symphonic Choir, the Frederick Chorale, and the Hood College Choir. In addition to her robust performance career, Dodson maintains a thriving private voice studio in the Frederick area and teaches voice at Hood College as an Applied Instructor. She is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), demonstrating her commitment to professional standards in vocal instruction. Her teaching philosophy combines technical excellence with artistic development, helping students master classical vocal technique, interpretation, and performance skills.
