Dr. A. Lenora Green-Turner is an American soprano from Macon, Georgia who serves as Teaching Assistant Professor of Voice and LLC Coordinator at the University of Arkansas. She has been praised by Opera News as "an impressive vocalist" and by The New York Times as "a most expressive singer." Dr. Green-Turner holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) and Master of Music (MM) from the University of Michigan, where she studied under Dr. Louise Toppin, and a Performance Diploma from Indiana University under Carol Vaness. Her operatic repertoire includes leading roles such as Mimi in La Bohรจme, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, the title role in Suor Angelica, and the High Priestess in Aida. She has received numerous awards including the Jane Willson Emerging Artist Award, Leo Rogers Scholarship from Sarasota Opera Guild, MONC Encouragement Award, and the William Knight Competition winner. Dr. Green-Turner is also the founder and CEO of Green Room Studios LLC, a private vocal studio, and is a member of the Exigence ensemble under Dr. Eugene Rogers, partnering with the Sphinx Organization.
