Leanne Freeman-Miller
About
Leanne Freeman-Miller is the Ellis & Nelle Levitt Distinguished Professor of Voice at Drake University, one of the highest honors bestowed by the institution. A soprano with an international performance career across the United States, Europe, and China, including performances at Shanghai Oriental Art Center, she was a regional finalist twice for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Her teaching accomplishments are extensive: her students have been accepted to prestigious programs including Juilliard, Boston Conservatory, and Indiana University. Many of her alumni have performed at major opera companies including Metropolitan Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and Chicago Lyric Opera, and have won prestigious competitions such as the Richard Tucker Award.
