Layne Littlepage
About
Layne Littlepage is a classical singer and internationally acclaimed musical theatre performer operating a voice studio in Carmel, California. She is a New York Singing Teachers Association Distinguished Voice Professional who completed the Oren L. Brown Professional Development Program covering vocal anatomy, voice acoustics, developmental repertoire, vocal health, and comparative voice pedagogy. Layne is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the New York Singing Teachers Association (NYSTA), and serves as music faculty at Santa Catalina School in Monterey. She studied with renowned instructors including Marion Freschl (Juilliard) and Martin Rich (Metropolitan Opera). Her teaching foundation is the healthy, classic vocalism of Bel Canto singing, teaching Italian chiaroscuro technique for classical singers and contemporary styles including Broadway legit and belt for commercial performers. Her high school students have attended Yale, Tisch School of the Arts, Manhattan School of Music, UCLA, and Northwestern University. Students have won national vocal competitions including the National Classical Singer Competition. Layne works with students aged 10-18 and adults across all styles and skill levels, from beginners to professionals.
