Lauralyn Kolb

Lauralyn Kolb is a renowned soprano and vocal instructor with 38 years of teaching experience at Hamilton College and 19 years at Colgate University. Trained in the bel canto tradition, she studied with Adrienne Auerswald at Smith College and Howard Swan at Occidental College. She performs extensively as a recitalist and oratorio singer throughout the United States. Her recordings include works by Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Clara Schumann, Amy Beach, and John Duke, released through Centaur Records and Albany Records. As a former New York State Governor for NATS, she maintains high professional standards in voice pedagogy. Her former students have performed professionally throughout the US and Europe in operatic, musical theater, recital, and choral venues.
