About
Laura Catherine Williams is a mezzo-soprano/alto and Singing Voice Specialist (Vocologist) based in Asheville, North Carolina. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Brevard College. After experiencing vocal trauma and subsequent surgeries, Laura recovered vocally when she studied Vocology with founder Ingo Titze at the National Center for Voice and Speech in Salt Lake City. She now has a private vocal studio and has served on the voice faculties of the University of Colorado-Denver and the University of Northern Colorado. Laura is passionate about working as a Singing Voice Specialist, consulting and habilitating singers with injured voices. She combines her work with her love of traveling, having taught in Beijing at CAU International College and sung with the International Bachakademie in Stuttgart and the Weimar Bach Cantata Academie under Helmuth Rilling, Hans-Christoph Rademann and Kathy Romey, touring in Germany, Chile, and Tunisia.
