Lanie Bevill Westman serves as the Executive Director of Abilene Performing Arts Company (APAC), a position she has held since January 2001. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Vocal Performance from Hardin-Simmons University in 1993. Prior to joining APAC, she worked as a teacher of elementary music in the Abilene Independent School District, Texas, from 1993-2000. As Executive Director, she directs APAC's summer camp junior musicals and music for Paramount's junior musicals, while also teaching musical theatre and voice to students. As a performer, she has appeared with the Abilene Opera Association, including roles such as Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus. She has also performed with McMurry Summer Dinner Theatre and other regional theater groups. Lanie is a member of the Abilene Music Teachers Association and is dedicated to developing the next generation of performers through high-quality performing arts education.
