About
Kismyu Griffith is a vibrant voice instructor and vocalist located in the Greater Jackson, Mississippi area. A classically trained vocalist with approximately eight years of study in vocal performance, she brings both technical expertise and emotional authenticity to her teaching. She is a graduate of the Mississippi School of the Arts for Vocal Performance and holds an Associate degree in Vocal Performance. Additionally, she earned degrees in Sociology and Social Work from Jackson State University. A highly accomplished performer, Kismyu has placed second in the National Association of Teachers of Singing vocal competition twice consecutively and has performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall with the Mississippi College Singers. Her teaching approach emphasizes natural voice production, proper utilization of breath and posture, and helping each student uncover and develop their unique voice.
