Kimberly Philpott is the owner of Harmony Music Studios in Durham, NC, bringing over 20 years of experience as a teacher, performer, accompanist, vocal coach and choral director. She holds a Master of Music in Performance from UNC Greensboro and a Bachelor of Music Education from Lander University (summa cum laude), and completed the Institute of Voice Performance Pedagogy at Oberlin Conservatory. Kimberly has performed operatic roles and served as music director for community theater productions. She currently serves as Director of Music at Asbury UMC in Durham, NC, and is an active member of MTNA. Her teaching philosophy centers on providing a positive, encouraging environment for musical growth, and she offers individual coaching for musical theater and vocal auditions. Kimberly specializes in helping students develop strong technical foundations across multiple genres while fostering confidence and artistry in performance.
