Kimberly Philpott is the owner of Harmony Music Studios and a passionate music educator who has dedicated over 20 years of her career to helping students of all ages broaden their musical awareness in the Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina area. She holds a Master of Music in Performance from UNC Greensboro and a Bachelor of Music Education from Lander University, where she graduated summa cum laude. Kimberly's extensive experience spans multiple facets of vocal music, including work as a teacher, performer, accompanist, vocal coach, and choral director. Since 2001, she has served as Director of Music at Asbury United Methodist Church in Durham, where she leads the music program. Her performance background includes work with Long Leaf Opera and various operatic productions throughout the region. As a member of both the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the Chapel Hill Music Teachers Association, Kimberly maintains professional connections and stays current with pedagogical developments. At Harmony Music Studios, she provides private piano and voice lessons, as well as specialized coaching for musical theater and vocal auditions, creating a supportive learning environment that fosters both technical skill and artistic expression.
