Kimberly Larkin
About
Kimberly Larkin is a voice teacher, music director, and educator born and raised in Queens, New York. She holds an MA in Vocal Performance with a Concentration in Musical Theatre from NYU and a BA in Music Education from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where she received a full scholarship and studied both voice and piano. Kimberly serves on the faculty of the Long Island High School for the Arts, teaching voice in the Musical Theatre Department. She directs a music program she created at St. Andrew Avellino Catholic Academy in Flushing, Queens, and was recruited by Queens College to develop and run a musical theater summer workshop for students ages 10-15, which she has been directing for 22 years. With 20 years of teaching experience at LIHSA, Kimberly commutes weekly from NYC to serve her students. She is currently studying voice with renowned Broadway actress/singer Judith Blazer, continuing her own artistic development. Her teaching bridges classical vocal technique with musical theatre performance, drawing from her extensive background in both music education and professional performance.
