About

Dr. Kimberley Davis is a Professor of Voice and Voice Area Chair at the University of Southern Mississippi School of Music. She specializes in Applied Voice for both Classical and Theatre, Voice Pedagogy, and Diction studies. Dr. Davis teaches voice lessons, vocal literature, and diction (IPA Applied to English and Italian) to undergraduate and graduate students. As a performing soprano, she has been featured in USM Faculty Artist Series recitals. She is an advocate for African American classical music and composers, and regularly presents lectures and performances on this important subject. Dr. Davis holds a B.S. from the University of South Alabama, an M.M. in Performance from Southern Miss, and a D.M.A. in Performance and Pedagogy from Southern Miss with additional studies completed in London. She serves as the Mississippi District Governor with the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Southern Region.
