Kim Gant is an experienced voice and piano instructor serving the Hickory and Catawba County area with a private studio of 10-12 dedicated music students. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance and Pedagogy from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, providing her with a strong foundation in both performance and music education methodology. Gant brings diverse teaching experience to her studio, having served as an adjunct instructor in music at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in Hudson, NC, and as a prior instructor in piano and voice for the Harper School of Performing Arts in Lenoir, NC. She has also taught at the NewArt School in Newton, NC, demonstrating her commitment to music education across the region. With over 20 years of involvement in church music, Kim has directed adult choral, youth choral, and children's handbell choirs, developing her skills in both choral instruction and ensemble direction. Her private studio focuses on voice and piano instruction, with students aged 12 and up, emphasizing vocal technique, music literacy, and performance development. Kim is known for her personalized approach to music education and her dedication to helping each student reach their musical potential.
