Kelly Montgomery
About
Dr. Kelly Montgomery is a Senior Lecturer at Old Dominion University's Diehn School of Music and a highly accomplished contralto. Originally from Hot Springs, Arkansas, she joined the ODU voice faculty in 2010 and has become an integral part of the voice program. With extensive performance experience, Dr. Montgomery has performed with major opera companies including Des Moines Metro Opera, Cincinnati Opera, and New York Baroque Opera. She has also been featured as a soloist in international concert tours throughout the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. Her doctoral research focused on Francois Poulenc's Le Travail du Peintre, demonstrating her commitment to connecting performance practice with pedagogical applications. Dr. Montgomery teaches applied voice instruction, vocal literature, and vocal pedagogy at the university level.
