Kelly Ann Bixby
About
Kelly Ann Bixby is a consummate artist, educator, and performer who serves as Assistant Professor of Voice at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is a soprano with an impressive international career, having appeared with Opera Philadelphia, The Spoleto Festival USA, Opera America, The Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, the Kimmel Center of Philadelphia, The Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, Louisiana State University, The Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, and the premiere art song recital series, Lyric Fest. In 2014, she was the Eastern Region Winner and National Semifinalist for the NATS Artist Awards Competition. Since 2009, Ms. Bixby has been a core member and featured soloist in the new music chamber ensemble, The Crossing, which has won two GRAMMY Awards in 2018 and 2019 and has been nominated six times in five consecutive years, most recently in 2021. She can be heard on over 15 albums on the Innova, ECM, and Naxos labels. Ms. Bixby also serves as the camp director for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Vocal Arts Camp, where she provides private lessons and mentorship to aspiring singers.
