Kayla DePretto

About

Kayla DePretto is a vocal instructor certified by Music By Ross with over 11 years of experience singing and playing piano. She has 8 years of choral singing, 5 years of classical voice and musical theater training, and 3 years of jazz training. Her teaching style incorporates elements from each style of singing to give students a well-rounded approach to using their voice. Kayla studied at University of North Texas with a BM in Jazz Studies with voice emphasis before transferring, and studied choral music under Z. Randall Stroope at Oklahoma State University for three years. She studied under notable instructors including David Malis, Steve Sanders, April Golliver, Anna Jalkeús, and currently Rosana Eckert. She was a Texas All-State choir competitor throughout high school. Kayla has extensive church music leadership experience and is active in studio singing and ensemble performances throughout the DFW area. She teaches all ages from beginner to advanced levels and specializes in Jazz, Choral, Opera, Classical, and Musical Theater genres.
