Katie Wise, performing as Bhakti Mama, is a Boulder, Colorado conscious music artist fusing the sweetness of devotional mantra with roots Americana. A classically trained pianist who became a comedian and voiceover artist in Los Angeles, Katie's path shifted when she discovered yoga, meditation, and chanting. She opened two yoga studios before founding Bhakti Explosion in 2014. Her voice studio in East Boulder/Lafayette features a large studio room with a grand piano and a vocal booth for recording. She offers both in-person and virtual lessons through Zoom. Katie's coaching sessions include vocal and singing technique exercises to open breath capacity, toning and sound healing, opening up range and high notes, playing with resonance, and learning how to use the nose horn. She takes a holistic approach to each student, bringing wonder and curiosity to the journey of being a singer, songwriter, or public speaker. As a performer, she creates Kirtan fusion events regularly with her band Bhakti Explosion and has performed at sacred music festivals all over the US and internationally.
