About
Katie Kitchen is a versatile vocalist spanning classical, baroque, jazz, and contemporary styles, teaching at Westlake Music Academy in the Cleveland area. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Cleveland State University and is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at CSU. Kitchen is a four-time recipient of the Shari Bierman Fellowship with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and has performed in major works including Eric Whitacre's 'The Sacred Veil' and John Adams's 'El Niño.' She presented a solo recital at Severance Hall and brings experience across multiple genres to her teaching. Her student-centered approach combines modern vocal science with bel canto principles and is adaptable across genres, making her teaching accessible to students of all levels and musical interests.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Cleveland State University, currently pursuing Master of Music in Vocal Performance at Cleveland State University. Studied with Amanda Powell, Dr. Cynthia Skelley-Wohlschlager, Dr. Nicholas Klein, and Dr. Eileen Moore.
