Kathryn McKellar

Kathryn McKellar is a multifaceted operatic soprano, educator, and arts administrator. Originally from Dallas, Texas, she resides in Somerville with her family. Kathryn holds a Master of Music from Boston Conservatory where she was a member of the Opera Studio and winner of the conservatory's chamber music competition. She is a voice teacher of all genres and maintains a private studio in Porter Square, Somerville, also teaching remotely via Zoom. She is the founder and general director of Opera on Tap Boston, an organization dedicated to bringing opera out of the concert hall and into the Boston community in fun and accessible ways. Kathryn is dedicated to helping students discover their unique voice and artistic expression.
