Kathleen Roland-Silverstein is Professor and Voice Pedagogy Program Coordinator at Syracuse University's Setnor School of Music. She is a highly regarded concert soloist well known for her interpretation of the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. Roland-Silverstein has performed at prestigious festivals including Tanglewood and Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, and has appeared at venues from the Hollywood Bowl and Disney Hall to the Hanoi Opera House. She has collaborated with prominent conductors including James Conlon, Kent Nagano, Reinbert de Leeuw and Oliver Knussen. A senior Fulbright scholar to Sweden in 2009, she authored Romanser: 25 Swedish Songs with Guide to Lyric Diction and currently serves as associate editor for the Journal of Singing and assistant editor for the Opera Journal.
