Katherine Sandoval Taylor is an actively performing professional soprano and actress based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. A native of Asheville, North Carolina, she has appeared in oratorio, concert, musical theater, and opera performances throughout the Southeast and various venues in Massachusetts. She earned a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory (NEC) in Boston, where she studied voice and pedagogy under Mark St. Laurent. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Furman University in South Carolina, where she studied with mezzo-soprano Trudy Hines Fuller. Described by The Boston Globe as "stunning," Katherine brings advanced degrees and extensive performance experience to her teaching. She has taught voice and pedagogy at New England Conservatory, Boston Children's Chorus, and Furman University. She celebrates the vocal individuality that each student possesses and teaches fundamental singing techniques that apply to any style of music, including breath support, tonal production, registration, and diction, alongside performance presentation and audition preparation. Her students have achieved recognition in competitions, secured university scholarships, and performed with various regional organizations. She founded and directs KST Performance Academy in Murfreesboro.
