Katherine E. Welk

About

Katherine Welk lives in Hastings, Nebraska and is the assistant show choir director at Grand Island Senior High, musical theater director at Hastings St Cecilia school, and teaches private piano and voice lessons. She holds a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from Hastings College. Ms Welk works with middle school and high school choirs and show choirs ranging from Class C/D to AA in a variety of roles, including co-director, accompanist, adjudicator, and choreographer. She also has directed, accompanied, and choreographed for many musicals in the Midwest, as well as accompanies for collegiate programs and honor choirs. In addition to working with area schools, she has developed a thriving studio teaching piano and voice. Her students have won awards at NATS vocal competitions, district music contests, and perform multiple times a year.
