Kailey Gering

About

Kailey Gering is a voice and keyboard teacher based in Des Moines with a comprehensive background in music education. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Kailey moved to Des Moines after graduating from Luther College in 2020. She holds a Music Education major with teaching certification from Luther College, where she was actively involved in the college's vocal ensembles, including the Nordic Choir and Vocal Arts Ensemble. Her training and passion for choral and vocal music has shaped her teaching approach, which emphasizes technique, musicality, and the joy of singing. Currently, Kailey teaches middle school vocal and general music at McCombs Middle School in the Des Moines Public Schools, where she leads the school's music program and inspires young musicians. As a Teaching Artist with City Voices Des Moines, she also offers private voice lessons and participates in community music education initiatives throughout the Des Moines metro area. Her combination of school music experience and private studio work allows her to serve students of various ages and skill levels.
