Justin Havard
About
Justin Havard is Instructor of Voice and Staff Accompanist at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he teaches voice, directs the Spring musical, and accompanies ensembles, faculty, and students within the department. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Havard holds both his Bachelor and Master degrees in Choral Music Education with an emphasis on Piano from Florida State University. He is particularly known for his work with A Cappella Groups and Musical Theatre and has extensive experience as a director, pianist, singer, and educator. Mr. Havard is an accomplished pianist who has performed with major national theatrical productions including The Book of Mormon, Wicked, and Spamalot. He serves as Faculty Director and pianist with the prestigious Sherrill Milnes VOICExperience. Mr. Havard has presented at the American Choral Directors Association, Florida Music Educators Association Conference, and Florida State Thespian Conference. He received the 2023 ULM Foundation Award for Excellence in Creative and Innovative Works and has published multiple choral compositions. As co-director of the ULM Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, he brings a wealth of professional performance experience to his teaching.
