Julie Brown is a Lyric Opera Soprano and renowned vocal coach based in Austin, Texas, who has been running the internationally acclaimed Julie Brown Voice Studio since 1990. She is a distinguished performer and instructor specializing in voice technique, singing, and vocal control, teaching students of various ages, backgrounds, and experience levels both in-person and via online Skype lessons. Julie attended Southern Methodist University and has developed the Acapelladiva method of vocal instruction. Her notable achievements include being a semifinalist for the 2012 Paris Opera Awards competition and being named 2015-2016 Woman of the Year by Star Jones, president of the National Association of Professional Women. Julie made history as the first opera singer to ever perform on the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus at the famous SXSW Music Festival. Her performance career includes European tours in Italy and invitations to perform at some of the world's most respected opera houses. With over three decades of teaching experience, Julie has established herself as one of Austin's most accomplished voice teachers, combining classical operatic training with contemporary vocal techniques to help students develop strong, healthy, and versatile voices across multiple genres.
