Julia Katherine Walsh is a professional opera singer, vocal educator, clinician, lecturer, stage director and arts advocate based in the Lehigh Valley. She holds a Master of Arts in Voice (Opera) from Hunter College of The City University of New York and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Westminster Choir College of Rider University. As a soprano, she has performed major opera roles throughout Europe and North America, most recently performing Königin der Nacht in Mozarts Die Zauberflöte and both Taufee and Sandmann in Humperdincks Hänsel and Gretel in Munich and Stuttgart, Germany with the Freies Landestheater Bayern. Julia is a professional educator with 13 years of private voice teaching experience and is an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). She has participated in prestigious masterclasses in New York City with renowned vocal coaches Margo Garrett and Mark Markham, as well as at Schubertiade Festivals in Austria with celebrated artists including Thomas Quasthoff, Thomas Hampson, Angelika Kirchschlager, and Brigitte Fassbaender. At Community Music School in Allentown, she provides private voice instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, specializing in opera, classical vocal technique, and performance preparation.
