Julia Anne Cordani is a contemporary vocal artist and distinguished voice teacher from Lewiston, New York, recognized for her artistic innovation and sophisticated vocal interpretation. With extensive formal training and professional performance experience, she brings both scholarly expertise and practical artistry to voice instruction. Julia holds Bachelor's degrees from the University at Buffalo in Voice Performance and Linguistics, and Master's degrees from the University at Buffalo in Voice Performance and Choral Conducting, representing a comprehensive musical education. Currently pursuing her Doctorate in Musical Arts (DMA) in Contemporary Voice Performance from UC San Diego under the mentorship of Grammy Award-winning soprano Susan Narucki, Julia continues to advance her craft at the highest levels. Her private vocal training includes instruction from Dr. James Harrington and Dr. Tiffany Du Mouchelle, and she has participated in masterclasses with renowned vocal artists including Hila Plittman, Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen, William Sharp, Lisa Vroman, and Julia Bullock. As a performer, Julia has collaborated with prestigious ensembles including Ensemble Signal, Slee Sinfonietta, University at Delaware Chorale, and the Cleveland Syndicate for the New Arts. She founded and serves as Executive Director of INCIPIO, a new Buffalo-based chamber choir dedicated to contemporary vocal music. Julia's professional experience includes adjunct professorships at Niagara University and SUNY Buffalo, where she shares her pedagogical expertise with university students. Her voice has been described as "clear, sparkling soprano" (Buffalo Rising) and "dazzling and sweeping" (Cleveland Classical). Julia maintains an active private voice studio serving students of all levels seeking serious vocal training in classical, opera, chamber, and contemporary repertoire.
