About
Joyce Castle is a University Distinguished Professor of Voice at the University of Kansas School of Music with an internationally renowned opera career spanning over five decades. A Grammy Award winner for her performance in Leonard Bernstein's Candide, she has performed as a principal artist at prestigious opera companies including the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and San Francisco Opera. With her D.M.A. and M.M. from the Eastman School of Music (named 2004 Distinguished Alumna), Castle brings decades of world-class vocal training and performance experience to her students.
