José Miguel Santelices

About

Dr. José Miguel Santelices is a professional tenor and dedicated vocal educator currently based in Dallas, TX. He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from University of Utah (2019-2023), Master of Music in Vocal Performance from University of South Florida, and B.A. in Music with German Studies Minor from St. Lawrence University. He is a member of the Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles Master Chorale and former Voice Instructor of Record at University of Utah. Dr. Santelices provides instruction for singers of all levels in a nurturing environment within the DFW community. With over a decade of teaching experience, his students consistently earn top honors in statewide competitions and secure scholarships to renowned university programs. He has extensive background in opera, musical theater, and Hispanic repertoire. His accolades include 1st Place in Northern Utah Chapter NATS Advanced Classical Division, Teaching-Artist Fellow at CMI 210 Festival with OPERA San Antonio, Opera Fellow at La Musica Lirica (Italy), and Summer Fellow at Assisi Performing Arts (Italy).
