Dr. José (Joey) Holland-García is an assistant professor of practice in voice at Texas Tech University, specializing in musical theatre and commercial music. He maintains a robust and successful private vocal studio and works with students across all vocal interests and levels. Prior to joining Texas Tech, he served as Chair of Voice Division at Millersville University. He holds certification in massage therapy, which informs his understanding of vocal mechanics and body awareness in singing. His students have won NATS awards and gained acceptance to premier musical theatre programs. He studied under renowned sopranos Shirley Verrett and George Shirley at the University of Michigan.
