Jonathan Nadel

About

Jonathan Nadel is a lyric tenor and private voice instructor based in Berkeley and El Cerrito, California, with extensive performance experience throughout the United States and Western Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music and History from UC Berkeley and a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory of Music, where he studied voice with Richard Hughes. Jonathan has performed with prestigious opera companies including San Francisco Opera, Festival Opera, and Berkeley Opera, among many others, taking on lyric tenor roles in opera, oratorio, and concert music. As an educator, he serves as an applied voice instructor at UC Davis and mentors through the New England Conservatory Mentor Program. Jonathan is a regular vocal competition adjudicator and was inducted into the International Academy of Performing Arts and Sciences in 2020. He holds memberships in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA). Jonathan invites more experienced students to participate in semi-annual recitals in Berkeley.
