Jon Rainier
About
Jon is the founder of Rainier Voice Studio in Olympia, WA, providing personalized online singing lessons for all ages and skill levels. Raised in South Lake Tahoe, California, Jon has extensive musical training and performance experience, including singing in honors choir as a baritone and in an acapella group called "The Key-Tones." He starred in a production of Annie Get Your Gun and performed his own compositions at local venues throughout high school and college. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology from San Diego State University and a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Boston University. He obtained his Voice Teacher certification from the New York Vocal Coaching program and is a Certified Lee-Silverman Voice Therapy provider. Through his private speech therapy practice, Jon worked with adults suffering from voice disorders including vocal fold paralysis, vocal nodules, and muscle tension dysphonia. He specializes in helping adults with Parkinson's disease regain their voice. His lessons emphasize both technical skill development and good vocal habits and skills that will serve students throughout their singing careers. Sessions include vocal exercises, ear training, and structured review of performance pieces.
