Joe Lerangis
About
Joe Lerangis is the Priscilla E. Browning Director of Choral Music and Assistant Professor at Cornell University in Ithaca. He is an accomplished conductor and tenor who performs regularly as a conductor and tenor internationally and across the United States. With over a decade of study in Mongolian music, he received Fulbright and American Center for Mongolian Studies fellowships. He won Mongolia's pop idol competition's Judge's Choice Award in 2017 and received the Robert Shaw Prize in Conducting and Friedmann Thesis Prize at Yale. He is a co-founder of New Muses Project and champions contemporary music through commissions and premieres.
