Jill Terhaar Lewis
About
Dr. Jill Terhaar Lewis is a tenured Professor of Vocal Music and the Chair of Vocal Programs at Charleston Southern University. A respected soprano performer in the Southeast Region, she coordinates the vocal curriculum, teaches voice lessons and music history classes. Dr. Lewis is the Mid-Atlantic Region Governor of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and co-founder of the Empathy Project. She founded Contemporary Collaborations and has collaborated extensively with various ensembles including the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and the Charleston Jazz Orchestra. As a performer and educator, she brings over 30 years of experience to her teaching and conducting roles.
