Jessica Pray Patel is a soprano and professional voice instructor operating Patel Voice Studio in Coralville, Iowa. She is a freelance opera performer with a strong career in singing and education. Jessica earned her Master of Music in Voice (Opera) from Yale School of Music in 2017, where she studied under renowned vocal pedagogue Doris Yarick-Cross and received the prestigious 2017 David L. Kasdon Memorial Prize recognizing outstanding achievement in voice performance. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ethics and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Iowa, where she studied with Dr. Rachel Joselson. Since opening Patel Voice Studio in 2018, Jessica has worked with over 100 students in the Coralville and Iowa City areas, establishing a philosophy that the art of singing with healthy technique can improve confidence, bring joy, and inspire creativity. She emphasizes the foundational importance of healthy vocal technique in developing student confidence and musical expression. Jessica works with singers across varying skill levels and musical backgrounds, specializing in classical opera and musical theater repertoire.
