Jessica Pray Patel

Jessica Pray Patel is a soprano, voice teacher, and owner of Patel Voice Studio in Coralville, Iowa. She founded her studio on the principle that the art of singing with healthy technique can improve confidence, bring joy, and inspire creativity. Jessica is a freelance opera singer based in Iowa City, noted for her vocal control and warm timbre. She began teaching voice lessons to students of varying levels while at Yale and opened her studio in 2018. Since then, she has worked with over 100 students in the Coralville and Iowa City area, specializing in helping students discover their voice through healthy vocal technique.

Education & Qualifications

Master of Music in Voice (Opera) from Yale School of Music (2017), studied under Doris Yarick-Cross, 2017 winner of the David L. Kasdon Memorial Prize. Bachelor of Arts in Ethics and Public Policy and Bachelor of Music from University of Iowa (2015), studied under Dr. Rachel Joselson.
