Dr. Jessica L. Gallagher-Steuver is a voice instructor and vocal pedagogue at The Music Settlement in Cleveland, bringing extensive experience in both music education and performance. She recently earned her PhD in Music Education from Case Western Reserve University, where she conducted advanced research in music pedagogy and education. Dr. Gallagher-Steuver serves as Artistic Director of Windsong, Cleveland's Feminist Chorus, and as Conductor of University Chorale at Case Western Reserve University, demonstrating her expertise in choral music direction and ensemble performance. She is the founding editor-in-chief of the Journal of Queer Choral Studies, an innovative publication addressing representation and inclusion in choral music education and performance. Her professional background includes teaching elementary music and musical theater in Cincinnati, and she regularly sings with local and regional ensembles throughout Northeast Ohio. Her teaching approach combines rigorous vocal technique, music theory, and a commitment to inclusive, equitable music education practices. She has extensive experience working with singers of all levels and backgrounds.
