Jennifer Sgroe is a soprano and voice teacher who emphasizes that 'vocal growth mirrors our own human development' and aims to help singers access their 'most free and expressive sounds.' She prioritizes patience and specific technical guidance to support long-term vocal health and informed decision-making. Jennifer serves as faculty at New England Conservatory of Music's Preparatory School and School of Continuing Education in Boston, MA, and maintains a private studio in Salem, MA. She also teaches at the National Opera Center in New York, NY. She works with singers age 13/14 and up across all levels, including actors new to voice training. She specializes in developing young voices, preparing students for college/graduate auditions, and rehabilitating injured voices as part of professional voice care teams. Her teaching emphasizes vocal technique, diction, and repertoire, anatomy, function, and voice care, acting the song and audition preparation, and she offers guest masterclasses and multi-day workshops.
