Dr. Jeffrey Jones is an Associate Professor of Music at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, specializing in voice and vocal pedagogy. A professional baritone with extensive operatic and concert experience, Dr. Jones has performed major roles with prestigious opera companies including Arizona Opera, Atlanta Opera, and the Atlanta Symphony Chorus. His operatic repertoire includes notable roles such as Escamillo in Carmen, Papageno in Magic Flute, and Sharpless in Madama Butterfly. He holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University, a Master of Music in Opera Performance also from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas with minors in Vocal Performance and Education. Dr. Jones earned his high school diploma with a Vocal Performance major from Interlochen Arts Academy. He has taught applied voice instruction, voice pedagogy, and opera scenes workshops, and is currently Artist-in-Residence with the Carolina Master Chorale in Myrtle Beach. His performance credits include recordings for Telarc Records and collaborations with major orchestras and concert venues throughout the United States.
