Jeff Hartman is an award-winning actor, director, and vocal coach with an extensive background in performance and music education. As Artistic Director of Hickory Arts, he brings over 30 years of professional experience to his teaching practice, with private study beginning in 1983 and professional teaching and touring since 1992. Hartman is an Arizona State University alumnus with degrees in Advertising, Theater, and Music. His dynamic career includes performance credits with legendary artists such as Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hootie & The Blowfish, and Eric Church, maintaining an active schedule of approximately 200 performance dates annually for over two decades. As a composer and music director, he has created multiple stage musicals, film scores, and album projects with international recognition. Hartman specializes in vocal coaching, artist development, audition preparation, and songwriting instruction, helping students develop their unique vocal identities and artistic expression across multiple genres from classical to contemporary styles.
